SUMMARY:ALIO/EURO International Conference 2021 on Applied Combinatorial Optimization
DESCRIPTION:SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS – ALIO/EURO 2021 \nXth Joint ALIO/EURO International Conference 2021 on Applied Combinatorial Optimization\nNovember 29 to December 1\, 2021\nViña del Mar\, Chile\nhttps://www.alioeuro2021.cl  \n———————————–\nABOUT THE CONFERENCE\n———————————– \nThe Joint ALIO/EURO International Conference on Applied Combinatorial Optimization is a triennial event jointly promoted by the Association of Latin-Iberoamerican Operational Research Societies (ALIO) and the Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO)\, both of which are within the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS). The main purpose of the event is to bring together Latin American and European researchers and to stimulate activities and discussions about methods and applications in combinatorial optimization. Researchers from other parts of the world are also welcome. \nThe last editions of the Joint ALIO/EURO International Conference on Applied Combinatorial Optimization were held in Bologna\, Italy (2018)\, Montevideo\, Uruguay (2014)\, Porto\, Portugal (2011)\, and Buenos Aires\, Argentina (2008). \n————————–\nSCOPE AND TOPICS\n————————– \nContributions dealing with any aspect of Applied Combinatorial Optimization are welcome. This includes theoretical achievements\, algorithm development\, and real-world implementations. Main topics of this workshop are\, among others: Applications of Combinatorial Optimization\, Approximation algorithms\, Bioinformatics\, Branch-and-cut-and-price algorithms\, Computational complexity\, Emerging applications of OR\, Energy planning\, Graph theory\, Heuristics and metaheuristics\, Hybrid methods\, Integer programming\, Natural resource management\, Network design and analysis\, OR for sustainability\, Production planning\, Telecommunications\, Transportation and Logistics. \n—————————-\nPLENARY LECTURES\n—————————- \nALIO Plenary Speaker: Nicolas Stier-Moses\, Facebook Core Data Science\nEURO Plenary Speaker: Markus Leitner\, VU Amsterdam\nInvited Plenary Speaker: Javiera Barrera\, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez \n————————–\nIMPORTANT DATES\n————————– \nDeadline for Submission: May 1\, 2021\nNotification of acceptance:  July 2021\nCamera Ready: September 2021\nConference: November 29 to December 1\, 2021 \n——————————————–\nPROCEEDINGS & SPECIAL ISSUES\n——————————————– \nThe authors are invited to submit their papers describing original\, previously unpublished research results and not currently under review. There are two types of submissions: full papers (4-6 pages using the two-column ACM sigconf template) and extended abstracts (1-2 pages\, free template). Accepted short papers will be published in open access at openproceedings.org\, with an assigned DOI and indexed in DBLP. \nThe submission process must be completed electronically through EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=alioeuro2021). \nFor more information\, please check the ALIO/EURO 2021 website at https://alioeuro2021.cl/submissions/ \nThere will be a Feature Cluster in European Journal of Operational Research dedicated to “Recent Advances in Applied Combinatorial Optimization”. We invite participants to submit papers corresponding to works presented at the conference. Submissions will be open immediately after the conference (January 2022). \n————————————\nPROGRAMME COMMITTEE\n———————————— \nAlejandro Mac Cawley (Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile\, Chile)\nAlexandre Salles Da Cunha  (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais\, Brazil)\nAnnegret Wagler  (Université Clermont Auvergne\, France)\nAntonio Mauttone (Universidad de la Republica\, Uruguay)\nArmin Lüer-Villagra (Universidad Andres Bello\, Chile)\nBernard Gendron  (Université de Montréal\, Canada)\nClaudia Archetti (ESSEC Business School\, Italy)\nDaniel Severín  (Universidad Nacional de Rosario\, Argentina)\nDiego Delle Donne  (ESSEC Business School of Paris\, France)\nEduardo Alvarez-Miranda (Universidad de Talca\, Chile)\nFederica Ricca (Sapienza Università di Roma\, Italy)\nFelipe Feijoo (Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso\, Chile)\nFernando Ordoñez (Universidad de Chile\, Chile)\nFrancisco Saldanha-da-Gama (Universidad de Lisboa \, Portugal)\nGilbert Laporte  (HEC Montréal\, Canada)\nIsabel Méndez-Díaz  (Universidad de Buenos Aires\, Argentina)\nIvan Contreras (Concordia University\, Canada)\nIvana Ljubic  (ESSEC Business School\, France)\nIvo Koch  (Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento\, Argentina)\nJordi Pereira (Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez\, Chile)\nJorge Vera (Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile\, Chile)\nJosé Fernando Oliveira  (Universidade do Porto\, Portugal)\nJuan Antonio Díaz  (Universidad de las Américas Puebla\, Mexico)\nJuan José Miranda Bront  (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella\, Argentina)\nLuciana Salete Buriol  (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul\, Brazil)\nLuis Gouveia  (Universidade de Lisboa\, Portugal)\nLuis Miguel Torres  (Escuela Politécnica Nacional\, Ecuador)\nManoel Campêlo (Universidade Federal do Ceará\, Brazil)\nMaria Albareda  (Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya\, Spain)\nMaría Laura Schuverdt  (Universidad Nacional de La Plata\, Argentina)\nMarielle Christiansen  (Norwegian University of Science and Technology\, Norway)\nMartine Labbé (Université Libre de Bruxelles\, Belgium)\nMathias Klapp (Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile\, Chile)\nÓscar C.
